SBB Tmh 986 Der Baudiensttraktor Tmh 986 der Brünigbahn hat auch im Modell einen funktionsfähigen Zahnradantrieb. Das Fahrzeug ist aus einem BEMO-Traktor umgebaut.
The Brünig railway duty tractor Tmh 986 owns even in 1:87 scale a working cog-and-pinion drive. This vehicle is modified from a BEMO tractor.
SBB Tmh 986, UnterseiteSBB Tmh 986, abgeänderte Mechanik Die Mechanik wurde ganz einfach abgeändert: an der richtigen Stelle am Fahrwerk wurde etwas Platz für eine dritte Schnecke auf der Längswelle geschaffen, und eine kleine Achse mit Triebzahnrad eingefügt, welches sowohl in die Schnecke als auch in die Zahnstange eingreift. Auf diese Weise fährt die kleine Lok im Zahnradbetrieb zwar viel langsamer, doch sie entwickelt dabei eine gewaltige Zugkraft!
The mechanics were modified in a simple way: at the right place within the chassis some space was created for a third worm on the longitudinal shaft, and a little axle bearing the cog-wheel was introduced which fits the worm as well as the rack. However the little locomotive is driving much slower in cog-and-pinion mode but it develops a tremendous tractive power!
